Gremlin, or just Grem, is at least a lil bit feral, and always tired. They're in their 30s, white, trans themme, and grey ace.
Grem is a queer, trans, indie book reviewer with a personalized star and spice rating system. They enjoy smut, erotica, high heat stories and specialize in fantasy worlds and worlds that look just like ours, aside from some monsters. Utilizing a reading journal to include real time thoughts and commentary in their reviews, they typically post within 3 business days of finishing a story.
Their goal in reviewing is to help others find and read more books that appeal to them, while avoiding titles that will leave them unfulfilled. Their reviews are a loosely categorized, running commentary - without unmarked spoilers! - style. In fact, they don't rehash or remind readers what the story is about unless they find the blurb insufficient or misleading. They speak about the technical writing, the quality of characters and their relationships, the pace, and how they felt.
Also, quotes. They love quotes.

(0) - Did Not Finish | 🫑 (0) - Fade to black, non-explicit, closed door, or does not happen. |
⭐ (1) - Finished, but at what cost? I need to DNF more often. Possibly: heavily skimmed some parts. Not worth it. Probably: no/little editing, misuse of words or needless repeating. Painfully, annoyingly cliche. Author blacklisted. | 🌶️ (1) - Sex is written, but is 1-5 lines or so. Infrequent, or bland. |
⭐⭐ (2) - Still should have DNF'd. Probably: some to a decent amount of editing needed, little sense in motives/plot/character logic, bland characters. Author blacklisted. | 🌶️🌶️ (2) - Sex is written, but that's it. Skim because it's not interesting, but it is, in fact, spice. |
⭐⭐⭐ (3) - Average book. Didn't care one way or the other about characters/plot/motive. Probably: everyone has the same "voice," boring, overdone and unimaginative, almost no/no editing issues. If I paused reading, I'd probably DNF it. Author probably skimmed past in the future. | 🌶️🌶️🌶️ (3) - Sex, fair amount of detail / length, probably frequency. Done well enough to keep my attention. |
⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4) - High praise, intrigued, invested. Characters individually developed, and well. Something(s) held it back from a 5, but I will seek out more of the author. | 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ (4) - Possibly bookmarked. This is smut. Invested, interested. |
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5) - Holy grail. May include some faults (objectively or personally), but the positive heavily outweighs the faults. In love with characters. Probably: unique plot/world, or fresh/interesting take on an oldie. Hold on, lemme find the author's newsletter. | 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ (5) - Erotica. Boomarked, one hander, I have revisited it, and will again in the future. |
